As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits, and to have been active in the last thirty days. Patrollers and License reviewers don't have to request this flag.
Cca Raheem (talk) 04:36, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'll write in English because I don't believe I'd able to convey this well enough in French. I have a concern that you may have issues with copyrights of logos, there are multiple copyright violation messages on your talk page from November. Abzeronow (talk) 18:34, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have read your post at the Village Pump/Zh and I recommend the 2nd option that User:RoyZuo gave you. MP3s are restricted because sound recordings are more complex than most other media when it comes to copyright. Abzeronow (talk) 17:54, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to upload new files, but I absolutely need these rights for new version of those already upload by other users, so... Thanks. Esubat (talk) 21:16, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your advice, but could I have these rights anyway, which can help me even with other edits? Thank you. Esubat (talk) 11:19, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Esubat you've already been told that though you've crossed the 500 mark, majority of your edits are bot-like. We would really appreciate if you show us some good work and experience and then ask for rights. The reason you gave was not being able to upload new version to which I showed you a way. I hope you understand. Thank you. Shaan SenguptaTalk14:19, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is a re-request of my previous request, which was rejected due to carelessness. It's been around a month. Sometimes, I've had the need to overwrite files without tags, and I wouldn't want to keep requesting for the tag. Thank you. 🗽Freedoxm🗽 (talk) 20:40, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to request autopatrol rights so I can overwrite files myself, rather than individually requesting access each time I do so. (I've requested individual access 6 times over the past two years) I have made 688 edits to Wikicommons and I have uploaded over 100 images, including historical photographs and vector drawings. I have recently been doing work to improve information about the source of historical photographs and their public domain status. Thank you. Grnrchst (talk) 11:10, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I created this account, for my friend photographer, for now only me uploading through it. He did 7 TB of photos of Belarus for more than 20 years, I told him about Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia. He is a good person. I shared the account password with him, for now only I am uploading through this account. As you see, I am already having autopatroled permission. We thought about uploading from my account, but decided to create a new account. Vitaly Zdanevich (talk) 00:19, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmabel: should I consider Globustut an alt account of Vitaly Zdanevich or should I consider them separate but related accounts? I don't think I've encountered this situation before, but a more experienced admin might have. Abzeronow (talk) 00:38, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm unable to overwrite most of files. Since I have been uploading new revised versions (sources apply per COM:OVERWRITE) for logos, maps, etc. I also have been uploading flags that are optimized, controversially. However, when I see errors on an image preview, I will test uploading files before I can overwrite. Thank you. Opera (web browser) (talk) 07:14, 16 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made at least 1,000 useful, non-botlike edits or a large amount of justified renaming requests at Commons before they will consider granting the filemover right.
I am trainer and organizer of Wikimedia activities in South America, a patroller, and I come across files with various naming issues. I would like this right to contribute to the Commons community. Thank you. Felino Volador (talk) 14:56, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
